Beach school session-Sun Class

Image
Such a beautiful morning down and Gurnard beach, the sea was calm, it was quiet and the children were very well behaved. This week we took spades and trowels and the children tried to dig a tunnel to Southampton, we also did some beach art, making a mermaid and Mr Finch's face. We found lots of exciting things, Wren even found a large tooth and of course Harrison found a crab!  And we also decorated stones and left them on the beach for others to find and enjoy.

Releasing the butterflies

We have really enjoyed watching the lifecycle of a butterfly develop. Today it was time to release the butterflies into our meadow. It was lovely to watch them fly away and for the cycle to continue.
