Science - Life Cycles & Decay

 This week we have been inspired by our caterpillars, and looked in more detail at life cycles. We learnt that a chicken life cycle is 21 days long and managed to discuss, order and then draw diagrams of how the chick embryo develops across this three-week period. We then looked in more detail at decay and mould, learning that this doesn't produce eggs like chickens, but egg looking structures called spores. We drew some brilliant diagrams and came up with some fabulous vocabulary to describe a range of moulds! 

Mrs Loizos was really proud of the quality of writing and scientific drawing that came out of all of the children. Well done Sun and Moon.
